Burial Insurance can provide peace of mind for someone who does not want to rely on their children or other friend or family member to poy for the cost of their burial. Also called "Final Expense," the death benefit amount usually is in the range of $5,000 - $20,000, but can go higher. The premium is dependent on how much you are wanting, and usually has a waiting period for the full amount of the death benefit to go into effect. If you pre-decease before the full death benefit is payable, the full cost you have paid into the Plan (premiums) is given back to you.

This is where Hospital Indeminity insurance comes in. Hospital Indemnity provides a fixed, cash payment directly to YOU for a covered hospital stay. This is completely separate from your primary health insurance (which pay for your hospital and doctor bills), and can be used to help offset out-of-pocket costs associated with the hospital stay, such as deductibles and co-pays, or can help you pay for example, your mortgage, rent, electric bill or car payment - however you choose to use the money.
Unfortunately, since you have already been diagnosed with cancer, a Cancer Policy would not be an option for you. Had you taken out a Cancer Policy PRIOR to being diagnosed, then I would have been able to assist you with (once diagnosed) out-of-pocket medical costs, travel expenses, rent or mortgage payments so you could focus on getting well instead of worrying about how you could pay your bills.
